May 19th, NMC Aviation Dept Open House

The Chapter 234 Young Eagles Fly-out...

Despite cold, sometimes rainy, sometimes blustery weather the event went
ahead and was a success. 69 kids received a quality flight experience. I didn't
see one kid that wasn't excited and full of thanks for the ride. I am sure
that there is future pilot's among their ranks.

Great thanks to the pilots who were kept busy from start to finish with the
steady stream of eager riders.

Special thanks to the ramp crew and photographer who soldiered on through the rain and cold to ensure safety and efficient loading / unloading of the
planes.

Hat's off to the registration crew for their efforts in guiding children and
parents through the sign up process and answering the multitude of questions
that came their way.

The crew at NMC also wanted me to relay their thanks. Before the event, I
don't think they realized what this would add to their event. Now they do!
